The Golden Gift Fund was established in 1979 to commemorate the Society‘s 50th anniversary. The responsibility of the Golden Gift Fund Committee is to conduct the Leadership Management Seminar financed by interest from investments and contributions. The seminar is held in early July of even-numbered years on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin.
Leadership Management Seminar
June 29 to July 11, 2014
Leadership Management Seminar is an intense residential learning experience taught by world-renowned experts in the fields of leadership, management and communication. All who have been a Society member for at least three years may apply.
With direction from the Golden Gift Fund Committee, this unique program is custom designed for DKG members by McCombs School of Business Texas Executive Education. Curriculum topics include result-oriented negotiating, understanding personality and management style, improving your professional image, using temperament in communication, managing across generations and creating leadership skills for women. Held each even-numbered year, the seminar spans two weeks preceding the International Convention. Thirty (30) participants can attend each time.
DKG offers this life-changing opportunity at minimal cost to each award recipient. Successful applicants pay a registration fee of U.S. $500. The Golden Gift Fund pays the remaining expenses in excess of U.S. $5500 for tuition, full-board lodging, round-trip travel and teaching materials.
Application forms for the 2014 seminar are available online beginning 1 July 2013.
Deadline for sending applications is 1 December 2013.
